The principle of Resolution:
The algebraic sum of the resolved parts of a number of forces in the given direction is equal to the resolved part of their resultant in the same direction.
The composition of Forces:
The process of finding out the resultant force of a number of given forces is called the composition/compounding of forces.

The correct answer of this question is A because a force can resolve into its component that is x and why and the some of these two resolved component forces is called resultant force.

Finding the horizontal and vertical components of force is known as resolution of forces and to get resultant force from these components is known as composition of force.
Ie R = sqroot of summation of vertical and horizontal forces.
