6.
Ten new television shows appeared during the month of September. Five of the shows were sitcoms, three were hour-long dramas, and two were news-magazine shows. By January, only seven of these new shows were still on the air. Five of the shows that remained were sitcoms.
Only one of the news-magazine shows remained on the air.
Only one of the hour-long dramas remained on the air.
At least one of the shows that was cancelled was an hour-long drama.
Television viewers prefer sitcoms over hour-long dramas.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
If there were seven shows left and five were sitcoms, this means that only two of the shows could possibly be dramas. Choices a and b may be true, but there is no evidence to indicate this as fact. The fact that all of the sitcoms remained does not necessarily mean that viewers prefer sitcoms (choice d).

At least one of the 1hr long drama was cancelled means either one or two or all the 3 were cancelled either way so, I feel it is most appropriate.

3 shows stopped screening.

There are 3 dramas and 2 news magazines. If all 3 drama's got removed, A and B both become false. Now if 2 new magazines got removed, there is another 1 to remove to make it 3. Obviously, it will have to be a drama. So at last, 1 drama will be removed. C.

D will be an assumption, not based on anything in paragraph because it is possible that people like dramas more than sitcoms but 1 of them was a drama met with lots of critics, so it stopped getting screened. Whereas all sitcoms could be barely just good enough to continue screening.

The correct answer is C. In these questions, the answers should be that which is 100% correct. We cannot guess any answer.

For D, we are assuming that Television viewers prefer sitcoms over hour-long dramas.

But for C it is obvious that at least one hour-long drama show is cancelled.

The correct answer is C. D could not be logically correct because "Television viewers" constitute for all Television viewers and we know that not all viewers prefer sitcom over hour long dramas. We also know that out of the seven shows that remain five is sitcom, the other two unknown. Now, if the two magazine shows remained, the three, hour-long drama shows must be cancelled. If two, hour-long drama shows remained then one must be cancelled. If one hour long drama and one news magazine show remained the two, hour-long drama must be cancelled. Hence, C is absolutely correct.

I think answer shoul be D. As it totally depends on the viewers. N they prefer sitcoms. It is not mentioned that out of 7 the other two can be anything from hour-long drama or news magzine show.

D is the correct answer as out of 10, 5 were sitcoms and all of the sitcoms have been accepted and liked by viewers this means it is more preferred to long hour dramas and hence D should be correct one.

I also think that D is the correct answer. Option D was my first instinct also. Because option C has no reason.

On reading the paragraph one doesn't think that for the answer one will have to eliminate the choices. But clearly looks for evidence and evidence is provided by option D. So, I fail to understand the justification given for option C.
