By dividing every number with 2 we can get the answer as 1/8.

Another logic of this sum is; Divide the given number by 2, then you will get the answer. Check it.

1/4 + 1/4 = 1/2,
1/2 + 1/2 = 1,
1 + 1 = 2,
So, the answer is 1/8.
