Aadhar is a 12 digit unique identification number issued to Indian citizens by the central government for availing various services.

1. According to me, Aadhar database is not fully secured. I will support my point with the statement that when TRAI chairman challenge on Twitter by giving his Aadhar number. Much of his personal information leaked out.

2. If Aadhar card is linked to bank accounts. The bank details can be leaked thus result in stealing of money.

3. Many agencies are trying to make fool of people by making fake Aadhar card and get out all the details from them which are not even as per the rules of the government.

4. I will support my point with another statement that somewhere I news I heard that an agent on WhatsApp is providing a username and password for hacking into UIDAI website and get access to information. And for further 300 rupees, Aadhar card printing can be done.

5. As this database is very massive that's why if any mistakes happen in storing data of all the citizens can be very risky.

Hello friends.

In my opinion, Aadhaar card is safe and secured enough, today is the identity of everyone we need it as a primary Identification card.

Previously Voter ID card was used as primary identification but it cannot be made available to a person having age less than 18-year so Aadhar card introduced and it is, of course, safe and secure.

There are some data like address and contact detail can be gained by Aadhaar number but these are not secret data and are shareable.

Adhaar database is secured enough because if hacker wants to hack his/her details he can hack easily but he can't get much information except contact details or address. If hacker wants more details he will use contact details but it is not useful for them because OTP will be send to that number and that sim or number is not with him so he can't get more details about anyone except their address or contact details.

Nowadays Aadhaar card is mandatory for everything. It is the identity of a person. Now your identity card is checked everywhere it may be airport or station. It is also used in banks for opening any type of account. Now everyone is using adhaar card as their identity card. In my opinion, Aadhaar database is secured enough.

Thank you.

Hello everyone,

According to me, Aadhaar is very safe and secure. It is a very good initiative from the government of India for the identification of the citizen of India and till now almost every citizen has an Aadhar card. It is very safe and secure as to access addhar detail one needs the phone to which the OTP is sent. Moreover to alter the data one needs biometrics to match.

Yes like any other system the Aadhar is getting better day by day and some glitches are present but it absolutely secure.

It has helped in the identification of people easily. It has made sending the subsidiary to poor easy and also decreased corruption.

Thus Aadhar is a very good and secure system.

Good morning guys.

The topic given to us is very important as we know that Aadhar card is becoming essential day by day. Most of the things is getting connected by Aadhar card but I think Aadhar card is safe enough. If anyone wants to hack our bank account then he requires OTP so till now there is no such device that can hack your OTP. If you lose your money then you will be responsible for it so be conscious. Hackers can only hack general information that will not be harmful to you.

Adhar become the important identity for everyone before that voter id were there but it was only for the people who are above 18, but Aadhar is for everyone.

Hello friends. I'm Mayank.

In my opinion, Aadhaar card is safe as Unique Identification Authority of India (UIAOI) has claimed to have not even a single breach from its biometric data since its existence.

Yes Aadhaar card no may be publically available but UIAOI claims that Aadhaar is just like any other id like phone no, therefore, is never to be treated as a confidential document. By simply knowing someone's Aadhaar, no one can impersonate and harm him because Aadhaar alone is not sufficient, it requires biometrics to authenticate one's Identity.

And I think that we should not be get confused or carried away by fake news on Facebook or other means of media.

Definitely linking your Aadhaar card with LPG, Bank account, Voter ID, etc that have been made compulsory by the government, so that every citizen can get the benefits through government schemes and more.

Aadhar is a unique identification issued to us by the government of India. It alone is enough to identify a person as it contains your biometrics and retinal scan and all the other details. Thus, it is hard to copy or fake it.

Earlier we had to carry a hige pile of documents to confirm our identity but with the introduction of aadhar cards, it has become quite easier to prove your identity. To open a bank account or purchase a sim card which earlier demanded various documents and thus felt like a complicated procedure but the only thing they need now is the person himself and his aadhar. But since last few months, it has been observed that the government has made it mandatory to link all your accounts and other details with your Aadhar card. Thus making people think that their details might be stolen after breaching the system.

Surely there has been a lot of hoaxes circulating over the internet and other social media platforms regarding the info being stolen but there has been no information about this from the official sources yet. Thus keeping in mind the present records it can be assumed that our databases are secured enough. Also, it can be seen that merely having the aadhar details won't effect you as you also need the biometric details.

Hello everyone thank you for giving me this oppurtunity.

According to me, now the aadhaar card database is more secured when compared to previous database because now they are using fingerprint scanner for everytime a user needs to access the information of aadhaar card holder which is directly linked to his/her number and otp is also being sent to the user for making it more authentic.

Thank you.

Hello everyone.

We have topic 'Is Aadhar database secured enough' to discuss here.

UIDAI (Unique identity authority of India) declared publicly that Aadhar is fully secured and safe as there is no date leak at UIDAI. Report based on RTI clarifies that 210 gov websites made Aadhar information public.

By simply knowing Aadhar number no one can harm your personal data because only the Aadhar number is not sufficient, it requires biometric to identify Aadhar details.

Hacker will not be able to harm your private details until you are alert because for any transaction they require OTP that has been shared only with your own mobile number.

In my opinion, Aadhar database is secured enough until you are alert with your mobile data exchange.

Personally being a banker I think that Aadhar should not be made mandatory to avail each and every benefits provided by government There are lots of misuses done by it. I see a lot of customers come to bank and complain that their account is debited by some amount. When I enquire I got to know that theie money is debited using pos terminals and CSP. If Aadhar database is safe enough then how can another person can withdraw money using their own credentials. Fraud is also happening using their mobile numbers. So, this is not safe. Its security should be improved.
