Aadhar database is just like any other database like our email database, Facebook database and even bank account database. There are instances of hacking of every type of databases like email, Facebook accounts and even bank accounts.
The fact is that hackers are always finding new ways to hack into the most secure databases of the world. So, just as hackers are growing smarter so too cybersecurity expert must continuously work on improving the security of our databases.
Therefore Aadhar databases must continuously adapt newer security measures to ward off the growing army of hackers who are getting smarter day by day.
Also, in addition to that, I would like to add the scenario where one links his mobile number to Aadhar card. We buy a new sim etc and give our consent to Telecom companies via our fingerprints and otp to share our Aadhar details with the company. Now it is also up to the Telecom companies to provide for security measures so that hackers don't have access to our Aadhar card from the Telecom companies database.
Most of the hacking news about Aadhar card, on further investigation revealed that there was lack of security measures on the Telecom companies database.

Hi friend's,
As per my point of view, Adhar database is a good initiative which is taken by govt of India to secure our data related to bank, transaction and to monitor all type of crime such as terrorism, cybercrime which is happening in India and extensively growing. To overcome with this problem Aadhar database is crucial to report all those fraud people easily because Aadhar is mandatory to all Indian and every crucial information is linked with Aadhar and Aadhar playing a great role in public, private and education sector it is a prominent step taken by govt to identify the people who have been living here for a long time but still Aadhar is not sure enough.
Recently the government of India comes up with a citizenship bill which has been approved from parliament and president of India now it is an act to prove citizenship where Aadhar database is not enough to prove whether you are a citizen of India or not so finally we can't say Aadhar is secured enough.
Conclusion:
* Aadhaar database is not secured enough to prove citizenship.
* crucial data may be trapped by cybercrime.
* Aadhar is not only to give complete security.

Hello everyone,
Aadhaar database can be hacked easily if a smart hacker wants, but will he get any benefit from this or not? Suppose he get the details from your Aadhaar then what will he do ?, he can only contact you just to get some extra confidential detail which you won't share. The procedure of OTP (one-time password) , secures many networks which creates a barrier for hackers to hack anyone account because at last, they want OTP.
Looking to the bitter side is that they can get your fingerprint, which can't be taken lightly. According to me, the fingerprint should not be an integral part of Aadhaar database of an individual.
One important thing, whenever we go for Xerox and scan, we forgot to delete our files from owner's PC, this shows our lack of awareness if that owner wants to create some issue in your life he can create.
So, I want to say that please be aware at that point of time.
At last, it solely depends upon the individual how smart he is to secure his database by not sharing any of his Aadhaar details to fraud calls and most importantly the OTP.
Thank You!

Hello,
As we have seen in the past few months that there has been a sudden surge in cybercrime rates throughout the world so it is natural that one may doubt one's security while transacting online or providing one's Aadhaar number for any purpose because our Aadhaar card has got all our personal information about our residency and our contact numbers. But we are overlooking this fact that our Aadhaar is a 'biometric card' which has our unique fingerprint on it and nothing is more secure than our own fingerprint. If our Aadhaar card gets stollen somehow still that person will not be able to get access to our bank account without our own biometric access or an OTP. This data has been released by the authority itself. So no one can get access to our information unless he/she gets our permission by accepting the OTP or fingerprint scan. And if by any chance that person opens our bank account just by the Aadhar number then in that case that bank will be held responsible. So, I would say Aadhaar database is highly secured. Thank you.

Aadhar is a 12 digit unique identification number issued to Indian citizens by the central government for availing various services.
1. According to me, Aadhar database is not fully secured. I will support my point with the statement that when TRAI chairman challenge on Twitter by giving his Aadhar number. Much of his personal information leaked out.
2. If Aadhar card is linked to bank accounts. The bank details can be leaked thus result in stealing of money.
3. Many agencies are trying to make fool of people by making fake Aadhar card and get out all the details from them which are not even as per the rules of the government.
4. I will support my point with another statement that somewhere I news I heard that an agent on WhatsApp is providing a username and password for hacking into UIDAI website and get access to information. And for further 300 rupees, Aadhar card printing can be done.
5. As this database is very massive that's why if any mistakes happen in storing data of all the citizens can be very risky.

Hello everyone.
First of all, thanks for giving me this opportunity to share my point of view, so today's topic is related to,
"Security of Aadhaar card". Is it secure or not,
Yes from my point of view the Aadhaar database is secure enough, And it is a great decision making by our government to make Aadhaar card is compulsory in every field like in government field, bank accounts, job application forms, etc. So Aadhaar card number is more essential day by day. Everythings is linked with your Aadhaar number like a bank account, And if hackers want to hack your account though Aadhaar number, he or she won't be successful because at the end of the process it required to OTP (one-time-password) and biometric authentication which is the most important part of that. The OTP is sent on your mobile number which is linked through your Aadhaar card. So hackers can't access your OTP without your knowledge, So be aware and keep calm everything will be okay it's secure enough.
Thank you.

About security, there is no doubt that it is secured by our IRIS scan and fingerprint scan it starts under the slogan of one nation one card.
Talking about some of the advantages which the Aadhar card is giving us is; First, in an earlier time, we need to carry a bunch of documents to open a single bank account but now because of the Aadhaar card it becomes very simple and easy, in earlier days even for activation of a single sim card it almost takes 4-5 days but now agent just take our fingerprint scan and validate with our Aadhar database after validation it activates within a second which is very good from the part of digital India also.
Nowadays Aadhaar card is mandatory for everything. It is the identity of a person. Now your identity card is checked everywhere it may be airport or station. It is also used in banks for opening any type of account. Now everyone is using adhaar card as their identity card. In my opinion, Aadhaar database is secured enough.

First of all, I thank India bix for giving this opportunity to share my views regarding this aspect, well according to my point of view adhar card is a unique identification of every citizen in India, it tells all prominent aspects of person, it is linked with bank accounts, when we talk about security aspects it is not 100%secure because our adhar card is linked with various banks, it may reach to hands of hackers, one example I just want to say which was happend in my real life, I think it was on the month of June 2018 a person called me and told all the details of my adhar card, I was really panic at tht tym, and he demanded 5 lakh of money in case if I don't pay him, he said I will hack your money in your bank account, I went to police station and informed all this, so from then when ever there is a need for me to give adhar details, I used to think twice, so one thing I want to suggest to you all think twice before giving your adhar details to anyone.

Hello friends.
In my opinion, Aadhaar card is not safe at all, recently there has been a lot of reports regarding a breach in security of Aadhaar data. We all know Edward Snowden how he exposed the mass surveillance by CIA, he warned UIDAI about the risk of a data breach in a tweet saying that Aadhaar can be a profiting tool for the people who are involved in the data business. Recently a FIR has been filed against The Tribune reporter for exposing a data breach, Snowden wrote that journalists exposing such breaches should be given an award, instead of being probed. He further said that the one who actually deserves to be arrested is the UIDAI. According to an article the Aadhaar data was on sale for Rs 500. There was an incident in which M.S. Dhoni's personal data was leaked which led to the blacklisting of CSC e-governance services is a perfect example of leakage of personal information due to human errors.
So, in my opinion, Aadhaar is not safe.

Hello everyone, today we are going to discuss about Aadhaar security.
According to tome Aadhaar is convenient but not secure enough. Aadhaar contains 3 types of information, first your biometric, second your identity, and the third your personal information.
According to CIDR regulations first 2 are under security. But that is not so much true in the third case.
Initially in the Aadhaar act section 8 while accessing the information the form of consent was only yes or not which provided the receiver with the identification information but after the act was revised there were more options which include your personal information (your call history, what you buy, where you go etc) yes this is mentioned in the form but who gives a detailed read to the I agree on statement box.
This is used as a commercial tool for making money.
So, I think Aadhaar is not secured enough to use everywhere and violets the act of privacy to some extent.
