Large transformer become hot due to the high current and loss of the current.

In tronsformer their are 5 losses occures. Hystresis loss occures due to magnetisaion and demagnetisation of core placed in coil. Since coil is made by copper so their is also some loss due to coil.

Hysteresis loss is due to repeated magnetisation and demagnetisation of the magnetic material. But it contributes a little in heat loss. Major heat loss is from heating effect of the circulting coil only. But the most appropriate answer is c.

I think it so because hysteresis loss is the heat loss by magnetic properties of armature. And the main reason behind it is due to the heating effect of electric current alone. But the releted reason so found and therefore the answer is 'c'.

In alternating current a power dissipation due to heating effect p=i2R so heat is produce and eddy current produce in transformer also and they absorbed by circulating oil so heat produce due to both phenomenon.
