What is the meaning of tripitakas?

These are the sourse of knowledge about budhism and his moral responsbilites

Sutta pitaka, vinay pitaka, Abhidhamma pitaka are known as tripitakas of Buddhism.

Sutta pitaka consists of sermons and teachings of buddha.

Vinay pitaka is collection of the rules governing the sangha and monks.

Abhiddhama pitaka deals with the philosophy of buddhism.
