What is the meaning of exercising of controlling villages?

It was representative of king which fulfill the quality of an emperor appointed by the ruler of that territory through which it was easy access on current issues going on the villages.

The village Assembly of Vijaynagar Empire was responsible for Administration of the village. Its hereditary officers were the village accountant, village watchman the superintendent of forced labour etc. These officers were paid either by grants of land or from a portion of the agricultural produce.
