Savita was correct to a large extent. But Tipu Sultan died in 2nd war of Anglo-Mysore. Anglo-mysore wars were 4. Hyder Ali son of Tipu Sultan continued the wars and died in 4th war.

Actually Tipu Sultan was a great ruler and could not let the foreigners to rule on his land, he also planted " tree of liberty" so if British did not seize the french port of Mahe, he would revolted against them. Tipu had to sign a treaty in 1784 (treaty of Manglore) and a treaty of seringapatanam in 1799 because nizam and Marathas were united with the British but after the treaty he fought for dignity and died in 1799 in the fourth Anglo-Mysore war.
