The title given by the British Government to Mahatma Gandhi which he surrendered during the non-cooperation movement was (B) Kaiser-e-Hind. Kaiser-e-Hind, which means "Emperor of India, " was a title that was given to Mahatma Gandhi by the British Government in 1915 in recognition of his service to the community during World War I. Gandhi surrendered the title in 1922 during the non-cooperation movement, which was a campaign of civil disobedience led by Gandhi to protest British rule in India.
