As per govt report in 1960, the forest percentage is 18.
In 2002 -2003 data of India the forest percentage is 23.
In 2011 data percentage is 24.
I have to clear some things about this India's forest not increased but Indian government reserved 24% land basically forest is decreased because these forests are automatically itself they formed. This height avg 25-30 mitres and now govt of India reserved more land but plantation also did but pant wasn't growing because in that forest the soil is aluminium contented minerals and structure of hills and their soils do not help to grow plants. Those plants grow because those are very old plants. And as per data of govt, it's increased but the report of Satellite is decreased because the amount of green belt is describing.
Thanks.
