Rusting is natural phenomenon and surface gradually removed so wight is loss.

Rusting is simply a phenomenon in which we can easily see that one more element is going to add i.e. oxygen then obviously its wt. is going to increase.

Rusting is the phenomenon of the continuous disintegration of the surface layer of the metal. ? means weight loss!

When iron react with oxygen formation of oxide takes place & wieght is increases ?

Rust is nothing but hydrated ferric oxide.fe react with atmospheric air and moisture to form fe2o3 thus it increase its weight

Rust is nothing but the oxide of iron. When Fe comes into contact with moisture or air it gets rusted ie. Oxygen added to it and its weight is encreased by same amount as Oxygen is added.

When a iron rusted, it added oxygen to form iron oxide, thus the weight of reacted oxygen is added in original weight of iron, that's why an small increase in the weight is observed.

Fe + O2 .............. Fe2O3.. We can see that iron reacts with atmospheric air to form iron oxide, called rust. hence weight is increase
