It is Argon, not Nitrogen. It might be Nitrogen, but the best answer is Argon. Argon is an Inert Gas, it does NOT react to other elements. Nitrogen is just LIGHTER than the AIR so, it is not INERT GAS, not like other Noble Gases.

Because nitrogen gas very low temperature (very cool glass) and tungsten has very high temperature. Nitrogen gas prevent the tungsten melt there for nitrogen is used in bulb.
