Modern bulbs are usually filled with a mixture of argon and nitrogen. More rarely, some bulbs are filled with pure argon, krypton or xenon.
The earliest bulbs weren't filled with any gas, but had vacuum inside.

Nitrogen gas is usually used in electric bulb.

Filament is made of nicrome and inert gas will not react with this. Filling a bulb with argon would be a costly process, whereas nitrogen is called inert as it does not react easily (78% nitrogen is present in our atmosphere).

Hey guys, as per the options, Nitrogen is the answer here. But Argon is more suitable if it comes in options. The reason behind it is its more inert property than Nitrogen and this property can give longer life to the filament and in turn reduce the overall expense!:-).

Nitrogen is the best option in normal bulbs. Because we can easily afford it easily. Argon can be also used to fill but it is costlier than N2.
Some lamps which are having color and fluoresces are having some metals with gas. Eg. NEON.

Helium gas is also used in bulbs except for nitrogen and argon because it is a noble gas. It does not react because its outermost shell is filled.

Sir, Actually argon gas is used in bulb.

We should write nitrogen not argon because argon has more stability & it has lower energy.
