It is Based on contact with the area.

It's simple that which converts sliding friction into rolling friction. Eg: (hard steel balls) placed between moving parts which converts sliding into rolling.

Describe Sliding in detail.

If a body is sliding or moving on the other body (surface) means it creates friction with the surface, sliding on the surface means the body cannot revolve on its axis and it means that is rubbing over the surface, rolling means the body is revolving along its horizontal axis in contact with the surface.

Friction between the two types of contact rolling & slides but they moving on what type of area that's details may be help like water hill.

Its wrong because it an object is static it has 0 friction so answer is D.

The friction is increased on the sliding object at the time the sliding force is converted to rolling process.

Well said @Santosh. It is all about the point of contact versus the axis of rotation.
