The Khajuraho Group of Monuments is a group of Hindu and Jain temples in Madhya Pradesh, India. They are one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India. The temples are famous for their Nagara-style architectural symbolism and their erotic sculptures.
Most Khajuraho temples were built between 950 and 1050 CE by the Chandela dynasty. The Khajuraho group of temples were built together but were dedicated to two schools of Hinduism and to Jainism - suggesting a tradition of acceptance and respect for diverse religious views among Hindus and Jains.

Khajuraho, the ancient Kharjjura-vahaka represent today a distinct pattern of art and temple architecture of its own reminding one of the rich and creative period it witnessed during the Chandella rule.
The larger temples have maha mandapa in front of the ardhamandapa, and the exterior of the temples are richly decorated.

The temples were built by the Chandela dynasty between the 10th and 13th centuries. They are known for their intricate carvings, which depict a variety of subjects, including Hindu mythology, Jain cosmology, and everyday life.
The temples are divided into three groups: the Western Group, the Eastern Group, and the Southern Group. The Western Group is the largest and most famous group, and it contains some of the most well-known temples, including the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple, the Lakshmana Temple, and the Chausath Yogini Temple.
The Eastern Group contains the Parshvanatha Temple, the Adinath Temple, and the Ghantai Temple. The Southern Group contains the Vishwanath Temple, the Varaha Temple, and the Matangeshwara Temple.
The Khajuraho temples are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are one of the most popular tourist destinations in India.
