The galvanometer can be converted into voltmeter by connecting the ckt in parallel. For ammeter this should be in series. :)))))

*voltmeter is used to measure voltage.
*if you want to measure V then yo ve to connect it in parallel since V remains same in parallel paths.
*so in order to avoid flow of current through voltmeter (coz it may lead to reduction of V) it is designed in such a way so that it gives very high impedance (ideally infinity).

Voltage remins same in parallel combination. If we connect in series their will be drop in circuit across voltmeter.

Voltmeter should connect always to parallel to ckt because is has high resietance.

Voltmeter has high resistance. Hence it should be connected in parallel.

voltage is to be measured only across the circuit...(i.e two ends of the circuit)
