What is the color code for a 220 omega.gif 5% resistor?
Red, Red, Brown, Gold
Orange, Orange, Black, Gold
Red, Red, Black, Gold
Red, Red, Brown, Silver
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Resistor colour coding series:

Black 0
Brown 1
Red 2
Orange 3
Yellow 4
Green 5
Blue 6
Violet 7
Gray 8
White 9
None 20%
Silver 10%
Gold 5%

Therefore Red, Red, Brown, Gold
           2 2 101 5%

 = 22 x 10 = 220 ohm 5% (tolerance).

In resistor colour coding series
e.g:- 220 5%
1st&2nd are normally digit & 3rd is multiplier which is power of 10.
So for this case 220 %5
=22*(10)^1 5%
here 10 to power 1 so we use brown
if 10 to power o so we use black =22 ohm
