Solar cells does not store the energy. When light falls on solar plate or cells, the holes and electrons are separated in this plate and potential difference is created and we can draw the current from it.

Without any fuel in the sense chemical, the generator doesn't produce electric power. Here for generator chemical is the source needed to produce electric power. In my point you generator produce a little bit confuse for providing answer for this question.
