Transformer do not work on D.C because the changing flux not produced automatically Emf is not induced in it so current will not produced. It work on DC transformer will burned. So transformer only work on A.C.

Primary winding will burn only when will you give more amount of DC supply if you will give less amount of DC supply primary winding will not burn.
If you will give DC to the primary wdg of t/f the flux produced by the primary wdg is constant so the rate of change of flux is constant according to Faraday's law emf will induce in the conductor whenever flux cutting action takes place. There is constant flux so induced emf in secondary is "0".

With AC Voltage only we get the alternating flux. Without the alternating flux to the core of the transformer there is no EMF induced in the secondary winding of the transformer.

Transformer not allow the AC supply. If allow Transformer primary may be burn.

Soln:- Transformer works on AC. Supply so there it will not be operated or if we given the DC. Supply of high voltage its windings get burnt.

Transformer acts as a short to DC. So when the primary is given a DC input there will not be any coupling between primary and secondary. Due to this the secondary side voltage or the voltage across load is zero.

Transformer acts as high inductance and low resistance, but under DC inductance gets zero and due to low resistance a very high current burns the windings and thus the Transformer.

Transformer only works on AC. If DC input is given it draws high current such that transformer will burn.

Transformer work only with AC and pulsating DC. But battery will provide pure DC so secondary voltage will be zero.

Transformer will only ac supply which is step or down ac supply but battery will provide dc supply then t/m is not working.
