The turns ratio=n1/n2.
400/2000=0.2.
400/2000=0.2.

The answer is n1/n2 i.e 0.2.

Actually, the turns ratio means n1/n2 so 400/2000=0.2.
The ans 5 i.e 2000/400 for transformation ratio=n2/n1.
The ans 5 i.e 2000/400 for transformation ratio=n2/n1.

I think the answer must be 0.2 as we N1=400 and N2=2000 so the ration should be 1/5 not 5/1.

I agree @Rajkumar.
Second thing is that they can never be fractional it is always integral.

This is wrong because turns ratio different from transformation ratio.
Transformation ratio = k = n2/n1.
Turns ratio =1/k=n1/n2.
Transformation ratio = k = n2/n1.
Turns ratio =1/k=n1/n2.

It's wrong turn ratio =n1/n2.
So, answer = 0.2.
So, answer = 0.2.

Primary turns (n1) =400.
Secandary turns (n2) =2000.
Turns ratio (k) = n2/n1.
=2000/400.
Ans=5.
Secandary turns (n2) =2000.
Turns ratio (k) = n2/n1.
=2000/400.
Ans=5.

Secondary turns divided by the primary turns gives turn ratio.
N2/N1 = turn ratio.
2000/400 = 5.
N2/N1 = turn ratio.
2000/400 = 5.
