Generator only supply power use of mechanical energy such as steam, gas etc. Voltage and current vary. Not constant load power. So mech to electrical.

Constant load power conversion it's depend upon a mechanical energy because electrical give or take energy based on mechanical load or machine.

Mechanical to electrical energy can not be the answer because of the internal resistance that will have to be overcome thus causing a delay -no uniformity at instant level.

Load is not mentioned as mechanical in question. It could me electrical also, then the answer must be option (a).
