Short cut to additions,
324+101+3.84+41.6+74 = 300+100+20+40+70+4+1+3+1+4+4.44 = 544.44.

The total amount that was spent on during the year 2000 is the addition of the total expenditure spent for the year which includes 324 + 101 + 3.84 + 41.6 + 74 = 544.4 lakhs by adding all the expenses we get wholesome value.
