The Mao Naga tribe resides mainly in the northern region of Manipur, adjacent to southern Nagaland. They are one of the indigenous tribes in Northeast India, with a population of 97,195 according to the 2011 provisional census. The Mao Council, their leading tribal authority, recently resolved a longstanding land dispute along the Nagaland-Manipur border, promoting regional harmony. Their language, also called Mao, is unique to the tribe, and they refer to themselves as Ememei or Memei. The Mao Nagas live in compact, well-protected villages on hilltops and mountain ridges, following a patriarchal system with various clans and sub-clans.

Maharashtra has launched a fleet of 20 electric buses for tourists visiting the Ajanta Caves, an important UNESCO World Heritage Site. The initiative was introduced on World Tourism Day to promote eco-friendly travel and enhance the visitor experience. By offering pollution-free transportation, Maharashtra aims to protect the environment while providing efficient service to tourists visiting the famous Buddhist rock-cut caves and ancient paintings.

Rajasthan Roadways has introduced the 'Passenger Fault' rule, shifting the responsibility from conductors to passengers for travelling without tickets. This move aims to ensure passengers are accountable for showing their tickets, with fines and departmental actions in place for ticket violations. Previously, conductors were penalized for such instances, but now passengers face the same consequences, promoting a stricter system for ticketing.

The 'Bana Kaih' scheme was launched in Mizoram by Chief Minister Lalduhoma to provide financial assistance and support to farmers and entrepreneurs. The scheme aims to promote economic growth and self-sufficiency through various programs, including the introduction of a Minimum Support Price (MSP) for key crops like ginger, broom, turmeric, and Mizo Bird's Eye chili. It also offers grants up to Rs 1 lakh for small livelihood projects, particularly benefiting individuals who cannot access loans. The Mizoram State Policy Coordination Committee, chaired by the Chief Minister, oversees the scheme’s implementation.

Apraava Energy secured an interstate transmission project in Rajasthan through competitive bidding conducted by the central government. The project involves building 200 km of transmission lines and a pooling station to facilitate the evacuation of 5.5 GW of renewable power from the Renewable Energy Zone in Rajasthan, covering areas such as Jaisalmer and Barmer.
