Telangana has topped the list of Indian states in terms of UPI (Unified Payments Interface) transaction intensity, as highlighted in the Reserve Bank of India’s September 2025 bulletin. The study revealed that southern and western states such as Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Delhi also reported high per capita UPI usage. Telangana’s leadership reflects its strong digital infrastructure, tech-savvy population, and effective promotion of digital payment systems, reinforcing its position as a key hub for fintech adoption and innovation within India’s rapidly expanding digital economy.

The Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has announced the establishment of Divyang Rehabilitation Centres at all divisional headquarters. The Uttar Pradesh government has announced December 15, 2025, as the target date to ensure pure tap water supply to every household in the Vindhya and Bundelkhand regions. US-based pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly announced a $1 billion investment in Telangana, specifically Hyderabad, to expand manufacturing and global supply of medicines for diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and other conditions. The state was chosen for its strong life sciences ecosystem, skilled workforce, robust infrastructure, and industry-friendly policies. This investment builds on the company’s existing Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad and is expected to enhance India’s role in the global pharmaceutical value chain. Additionally, it will generate thousands of jobs, promote skill development, and strengthen academic-industry collaboration, boosting Telangana’s reputation as a pharmaceutical hub.
