Uttar Pradesh launched the Digi Rover Special Land Survey Campaign on 1st July 2026 from Saharanpur to modernise land demarcation across the state. The campaign uses Digi Rover based on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology, replacing traditional land measurement methods with more accurate and transparent digital techniques. It aims to resolve over 79,000 pending land survey and demarcation cases by 15th August 2026. The Board of Revenue is supervising the initiative, while district-level officials, including District Magistrates, Tehsildars, Revenue Inspectors, and Lekhpals, are responsible for its implementation to reduce land disputes and improve public services.

The Borjuli site in the Sonitpur district of Assam was notified as a Biodiversity Heritage Site on 2nd July 2026 to conserve Oryza rufipogon, a wild rice species that is vital for developing climate-resilient and high-yielding rice varieties. The project, titled "In-situ Conservation and Management of Wild Rice," is funded by the National Rainfed Area Authority (NRAA) and implemented in collaboration with the Assam State Biodiversity Board and ICAR–National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (ICAR-NBPGR). The initiative supports biodiversity conservation, sustainable agriculture, and the preservation of valuable plant genetic resources for future food security.

Uttar Pradesh launched the second phase of the 'School Chalo Abhiyan' under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to achieve 100% enrolment of eligible children in government schools for the 2026–27 academic session. The campaign focuses on identifying out-of-school children, re-enrolling school dropouts, and ensuring their integration into the formal education system. It also encourages active participation from parents, School Management Committees (SMCs), local communities, and public representatives. The initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and supports the implementation of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009.

Rajasthan and Haryana signed the historic Yamuna Water Project agreement on June 29, 2026, in New Delhi to resolve a nearly three-decade-old water dispute and improve drinking water availability in water-scarce regions. The project will transport Rajasthan's allocated share of Yamuna River water from the Western Yamuna Canal through a network of underground pipelines. It establishes a comprehensive framework covering water allocation, infrastructure development, cost sharing, monitoring, and dispute resolution. The initiative is expected to benefit several districts in both states by ensuring a reliable water supply, promoting groundwater recharge, reducing water wastage, and strengthening long-term water security through scientific water management practices.

Maharashtra has received in-principle approval for India's first offshore airport project, marking a significant milestone in the country's aviation infrastructure. The proposed airport will be developed off the coast of Palghar district to improve air connectivity in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region while addressing land scarcity. The project was approved by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis following a proposal from the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC). Designed using advanced offshore engineering techniques, the airport is expected to enhance passenger and cargo handling capacity, reduce noise pollution over urban areas, strengthen regional connectivity, and support long-term economic growth and infrastructure development in the state.
