India’s first indigenous Green Urea plant is planned at the Pudimadaka Green Hydrogen Hub in Andhra Pradesh through a collaboration between NTPC Green Energy Ltd and Assago. The project will use renewable hydrogen and green ammonia, marking a major step toward sustainable fertilizer production. By supplying green ammonia, carbon dioxide, and renewable energy, the initiative aims to significantly reduce India’s dependence on urea imports, which currently range between 8–10 million tonnes annually. Locating the project in Andhra Pradesh strengthens the state’s role in green energy infrastructure while supporting national goals of lowering carbon emissions and enhancing self-reliance.

India’s first live National UAV Test and Innovation Corridor is planned to be launched at Rangeilunda, a repurposed commercial airport designed for real-world drone testing. This major initiative is being undertaken by the state of Odisha to support advanced and dynamic airspace testing for unmanned aerial vehicles. The corridor will facilitate testing of drone technologies such as swarm operations, artificial intelligence-based navigation, and other next-generation UAV capabilities. Developed in collaboration with BonV Aero and aligned with the B-MAAN scheme, the project is expected to play a crucial role in shaping India’s national UAV policy and innovation ecosystem.

Gujarat has emerged as the leading state in India in terms of renewable energy capacity, contributing 16.5 per cent of the national total as of December 2025. With an installed capacity of 42.583 GW, the state ranks at the top in wind energy, solar power, and rooftop solar installations. Gujarat has achieved 25,529 MW of solar capacity and 14,820 MW of wind capacity, along with more than 11 lakh rooftop solar installations. The state is also home to the world’s largest Khavda Renewable Energy Park, supporting India’s goal of generating 50 percent of electricity from renewable sources by 2030.

Andhra Pradesh launched Pilloo AI, an innovative voice-based billing and accounting application aimed at simplifying financial management for businesses. The app enables users to create invoices and manage accounts by speaking in five Indian languages, making it accessible to a wide range of users. Pilloo AI automates financial transactions, generates business reports, and extracts relevant data from uploaded bills and bank statements. By allowing real-time actions through natural language input, the initiative supports transparency, efficiency, and digital empowerment for enterprises, especially small and medium businesses across the state.

Nagaland has initiated the digitisation of old manual birth and death certificates as part of efforts to modernise its civil registration system. Launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, the initiative aims to improve the accuracy of vital statistics, enhance citizen access to essential documents, and strengthen service delivery. The move also supports evidence-based policymaking by ensuring reliable demographic data. In line with the guidelines of the Registrar General of India, the state is transitioning to a fully online registration system, thereby discontinuing the use of manual certificates and promoting digital governance.
