The Integrated Sohra Tourism Circuit was launched in Meghalaya under the PM-DevINE scheme, with Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia laying its foundation. Valued at ₹233 crore, this project aims to develop Sohra (Cherrapunji) into a model destination for sustainable tourism. It forms part of the larger ₹650 crore initiative focusing on tourism, connectivity, and regional development in the Northeast. Additionally, key infrastructure projects such as the Shillong–Silchar Expressway, Umroi Airport expansion, and New Shillong City initiative are being implemented to boost Meghalaya’s economic growth and tourism potential in the region.

The ‘Cyber Jago’ programme was launched by the Punjab Police’s Cyber Crime Division with the objective of educating government school students about internet safety and responsible online behavior. The initiative also emphasizes the role of teachers and parents in building awareness through open discussions on online risks and preventive measures. As a statewide effort, Cyber Jago aims to safeguard the younger generation from cyber threats, empowering them with knowledge to navigate the digital world securely while fostering a culture of responsible internet usage across Punjab.

The World Bank approved a $280 million loan for a southern Indian state under the Health System Improvement Programme to strengthen healthcare services and improve climate resilience. The initiative aims to benefit around 11 million elderly and vulnerable citizens through better chronic disease care, home-based support, and advanced digital health systems. It also promotes energy-efficient and climate-adaptive health infrastructure in districts prone to floods and heatwaves. The project highlights a model of digital integration, local governance participation, and sustainable public health management, enhancing the state’s reputation for progressive healthcare initiatives.

Uttar Pradesh will have a total of 76 districts after the creation of Kalyan Singh Nagar, which has been carved out from tehsils of Aligarh and Bulandshahr. The new district honours the legacy of former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, who played a significant role in the state’s political and developmental history. The government’s decision aims not only to pay tribute to the late leader but also to improve administrative efficiency, governance, and public service delivery in the region. By creating smaller districts, Uttar Pradesh seeks to strengthen local administration and ensure balanced regional development.

The Grand Finale of the Model Rocketry and CANSAT India Student Competition took place in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, on the banks of the Narayani River. Organised jointly by IN-SPACe, ISRO, and the Astronautical Society of India (ASI), it stands as one of the largest student-led space competitions in the country. A total of 71 student teams from institutions across India participated, showcasing innovations in model rocketry and satellite technology, aimed at encouraging young minds to explore and contribute to India’s growing space research ecosystem.
