The 62nd edition of the Subroto Cup International Football Tournament will now be held in three cities: Delhi, Gurugram, and Bengaluru. Bengaluru is a new addition to the list of host cities. The tournament is scheduled to take place from September 19 to October 23, 2023.

India's Kiran George clinched the Indonesia Masters 2023 title on Sunday, defeating Japan's Koo Takahashi in two straight sets, 21-19, 22-20. This is George's second BWF World Tour Super 100 title, after winning the Odisha Open last year. The 23-year-old George, who is ranked 50th in the world, is a rising star in Indian badminton.

Coco Gauff became the first American teenager to win the US Open title since Serena Williams in 1999, defeating Aryna Sabalenka in the final on Saturday. Gauff, 19, won 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. She made her Grand Slam debut at the French Open in 2019, where she reached the fourth round. She also reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 2021.

Kishore Jena won the Indian Grand Prix 5 in Chandigarh with a throw of 82.53m. This was his personal best and also the best throw by an Indian javelin thrower this year. Jena, who hails from Odisha, is a rising star in Indian athletics. He made his international debut at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, where he finished fifth with a throw of 84.77m. This was the best performance by an Indian javelin thrower at the World Championships.

In the 2023 Tata Steel Chess India tournament, Praggnanandhaa finished in third place in the Open Blitz category. He scored 17 points, behind Alexander Grischuk (22 points) and Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (20 points).
