The Odisha government has extended its sponsorship commitment for Hockey India until 2036. Initially set to sponsor until 2023 and then extended to 2033, this decision aligns with the centenary of Odisha's formation as a state in 1936 and the 2036 Olympic Games. The sponsorship, managed through the Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd (OMC), underscores the state's dedication to promoting hockey and supporting sports infrastructure, such as the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela.
