The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) inaugurated the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, which is now referred to as the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE). The facility is a state-of-the-art cricketing hub spread over 40 acres, featuring 86 pitches, including 45 outdoor nets and 8 premium indoor pitches. Bengaluru has long been associated with the NCA and is a prime location for developing cricket talent in India, offering world-class infrastructure and training grounds.

The Indian shooter team achieved significant success at the ISSF Junior World Championship held in Peru, securing team gold medals in both men's and women's 10m air pistol events. The men's team won by a 10-point margin, while the women's team scored 1708 points to claim the top spot. The 9th edition of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup tournament, initially scheduled to take place in Bangladesh from October 3-20, 2024, has been relocated to the United Arab Emirates. This decision was made to ensure the tournament's successful conduct. The UAE has previously hosted several international cricket events, showcasing its capability to organize high-profile tournaments. The ICC Women's T20 World Cup will feature 10 teams divided into two groups, competing for a total prize money of US$7,958,080, with the winner receiving $2,340,000.

The Indian tennis duo of Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Vijay Sundar Prashanth won the Hangzhou Open 2024 men's doubles title. They defeated the German pair of Constantin Frantzen and Hendrik Jebens in the final. This was Jeevan’s second ATP title, his first since the 2017 Chennai Open, which he won with Rohan Bopanna. Competing in the 93 kg division, Singh achieved the fastest victory by an Indian fighter in this weight class, securing a win in just one minute and thirty seconds. Despite facing a much younger opponent, Pakistani fighter Ali Raza Nasir, Singh's skill and experience led him to a decisive victory, establishing his place in international MMA competitions.
