Mitr Clinic, India’s first transgender-led and managed healthcare facility, was reopened in Hyderabad with support from Tata Trusts. Originally launched in 2021, the clinic is fully staffed by members of the transgender community, offering dignified and inclusive healthcare services tailored to their specific needs. The clinic aims to provide accessible, community-driven healthcare and promote social equity in medical services. Hyderabad, already known for its progressive healthcare initiatives, continues to lead in inclusivity by supporting the transgender community through institutions like Mitr Clinic. This reopening marks a significant step forward in healthcare equality and representation in India.

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) released the Global Liveability Index 2025, ranking Copenhagen, Denmark, as the world’s most liveable city. The index evaluates cities on factors like stability, healthcare, culture, education, infrastructure, and environment. Copenhagen secured the top position due to its excellent public services, environmental sustainability, and overall quality of life. Zurich (Switzerland) and Vienna (Austria) followed in second place, jointly. On the other hand, Indian cities ranked much lower on the index, with both Delhi and Mumbai sharing the 141st position, reflecting ongoing challenges in infrastructure, pollution, and public services.

The first National Conference of Urban Local Body (ULB) Chairpersons was held in Manesar, Gurugram, Haryana, on July 3–4, 2025. Inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, the event brought together chairpersons from States and Union Territories to deliberate on urban governance, local innovation, and inclusive development. The venue, ICAT in Manesar, was chosen to host key discussions on strengthening ULBs' roles in constitutional democracy and contributing to India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The two-day event also featured thematic presentations, a valedictory address by the Governor of Haryana, and visits to national institutions to inspire civic leadership.

The National Headquarters of the Turmeric Board was inaugurated in Nizamabad, Telangana, by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on June 30, 2025. This move is a major milestone in the government’s strategy to support turmeric farmers, improve product quality, and scale up exports to reach a $1 billion target by 2030. Nizamabad, a prominent turmeric-producing region, had long demanded such a dedicated institution. The board’s establishment addresses farmers' concerns and fulfils a key political promise made during the 2019 elections. With a backing of ₹200 crore, the board is expected to catalyze research, branding, marketing, and global trade in the turmeric sector.

On June 14, 2025, Union Minister Kamlesh Paswan inaugurated India’s first Agri-Drone Indigenization Facility in Chennai, developed by Garuda Aerospace. This 35,000 sq. ft. facility focuses on the design, manufacturing, and testing of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), with a target of producing one lakh drones by 2026. Alongside this launch, 300 Centres of Excellence and the DGCA-approved Train the Trainer (TTT) programme were also introduced. These initiatives aim to boost rural employment, promote drone-based agriculture, and strengthen India’s position as a global leader in drone innovation and self-reliant technology development.
