The Centre has launched the 160 series for service and transactional calls to aid citizens in distinguishing legitimate calls from telemarketing calls. This new numbering series is intended to reduce unsolicited calls and enhance communication efficiency.

The National Archives of India launched its inaugural international project, "The Oman Collection," in Oman. This project aimed at digitizing and preserving documents of the Indian diaspora in Oman, dating as far back as 1838. Over 7,000 documents in multiple languages were digitized as part of this initiative, highlighting the collaboration between India and Oman in preserving historical records.

India has assumed the chairmanship of the Colombo Process for the term 2024-26, marking its first time leading the forum since its establishment in 2003. The Colombo Process, a regional consultative forum comprising 12 member states from South and Southeast Asia, focuses on managing overseas employment and protecting migrant workers' rights.
