Thiruvananthapuram International Airport has become the first airport in India to achieve the Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWL) accolade, as recognized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII-ITC) Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development. This acknowledgement underscores the airport's commitment to environmentally responsible practices and sets a benchmark for other airports to emulate.
