Cyclone 'Asna,' forming in the northeastern Arabian Sea, is posing a significant threat to Gujarat, particularly the Kutch district, with heavy rain and strong winds. The cyclone has the potential to intensify and move towards Pakistan as well. The name "Asna," meaning "the one to be acknowledged or praised" in Urdu, was provided by Pakistan. This situation highlights the importance of disaster preparedness in regions prone to cyclonic activities.

Gwalior is set to host the third Regional Industry Conclave on August 28, 2024, with the aim of attracting investments to Madhya Pradesh. The government has reduced the maximum time for resolving citizen grievances to 21 days, down from the previous 60 days under the UPA administration. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated a shooting range named after Olympic bronze medallist Manu Bhaker in Gwalior. The range is located at the historic Jiwaji Club, which has been in existence for 125 years.
