The world’s first Digital Life Vault for legacy management was launched by Soult, a startup based in Mangaluru. The launch took place at TiECon Mangaluru 2026 and introduced a comprehensive digital solution to organise financial assets, important documents, personal memories, wishes, and life instructions in one secure platform. By addressing the challenge of fragmented digital legacies, the initiative ensures continuity for families and helps preserve personal values across generations. Soult operates as an enterprise SaaS product company and was founded by Sanketh Kandlikar.

The large-scale skill development initiative was carried out by CSIR through its Integrated Skill Initiative, which leveraged its extensive network of laboratories across India. The program focused on building industry-ready skills by offering hands-on training, internships, and certifications across 18 key sectors. With more than 5,200 training programs conducted, the initiative aimed to enhance employability and practical expertise. Phase III of the mission, launched in June 2025, further expanded its reach by training over 14,000 individuals through hundreds of targeted programs, reinforcing CSIR’s role in national skill development efforts.

The Karan Fries cow breed is a synthetic breed developed by the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, by crossbreeding Holstein Friesian and Tharparkar cattle. This breed is notable for its high milk yield, producing approximately 3,550 kg per lactation, or 11–19 kg daily, with peaks up to 46.5 kg. Karan Fries combines the high productivity of Holstein Friesian with the adaptability and resilience of Indian zebu cattle, making it particularly suited for sustainable dairying in India. Its development represents a significant step toward improving the efficiency and sustainability of the dairy sector in the country.

Kochi has been selected as the host city for the 9th International Spice Conference to be held from February 23 to 26, 2026. Known as India’s spice capital, the city holds historical significance in the global spice trade and continues to play a vital role in spice exports. The conference, organised by the All India Spices Exporters Forum, will bring together policymakers, exporters, scientists and industry leaders from across the world. Discussions will centre on innovation, sustainability, climate risks, trade disruptions and building resilient supply chains to prepare the global spice industry for future challenges.

Bamanwas Kankar Panchayat has achieved the distinction of becoming Rajasthan’s first fully organic village body by completely adopting chemical-free farming practices across its seven hamlets. Farmers in the village have stopped using synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and genetically modified inputs, relying instead on natural manure, compost, crop rotation, and biological pest control. This collective transition highlights strong community participation and effective implementation of sustainable agricultural methods. The achievement is especially significant given Rajasthan’s challenging agro-climatic conditions, demonstrating that organic farming can improve soil health, support sustainable livelihoods, and align with national climate and organic farming goals.
