The Ministry of Culture is spearheading the establishment of the Regional Centre of Sangeet Natak Akademi, named 'Dakshin Bharat Sanskritik Kendra', in Hyderabad. This initiative, graced by former Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu, aims to promote and preserve diverse art forms, reinforcing South India's cultural richness.

The Assam government's attempts to revive traditional buffalo and bulbul fights during the Magh Bihu festival were met with legal challenges from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), underlining the conflict between cultural preservation and ethical considerations.

The foundation stone for India's Digital National Museum of Epigraphy was laid by Union Culture Minister G. Kishan Reddy at the Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad. This museum initiative aims to preserve and showcase ancient writings for future generations.

The nomination "Maratha Military Landscapes of India" comprises 12 parts, including forts such as Salher, Shivneri, Lohgad, Khanderi, Raigad, Rajgad, Pratapgad, Suvarnadurg, Panhala, Vijaydurg, Sindhudurg in Maharashtra, and Gingee Fort in Tamil Nadu.

The 4th National Chilika Birds Festival was inaugurated by the Chief Minister in Odisha. The festival aims to showcase Odisha as a prominent birding hub, with various activities, including a captivating photo exhibition and birding excursions to Mangalajodi – Nalabana.
