Tripura's traditional items, Matabari Pera and Pachra, have been honoured with the Geographical Indication (GI) tag, marking a significant milestone for local artisans and weavers in the state.

The headquarters of UNESCO is located in Paris, France. UNESCO, founded in 1945, is responsible for designating and preserving World Heritage Sites globally. Some of the newly included heritage sites from Madhya Pradesh in the tentative UNESCO list are Gwalior Fort, Dhamnar rock-cut caves, Bhojeshwar Mahadev Temple in Bhojpur, Chambal valley rock art site, Khooni Bhandara-Burhanpur, and Ramnagar and Mandla Gond sites. Audrey Azoulay serves as the current Director-General of UNESCO.

The Chapchar Kut festival, Mizoram's grandest celebration, took place across the state with traditional fervour. The festival, marked by vibrant customs and festivities, attracted thousands to the Assam Rifles Ground in Aizawl, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Mizoram.

The 'Tawi Festival', scheduled for four days starting March 1, 2024, in Jammu, aims to highlight the cultural richness and artistic talents of the region. Organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM), the festival provides a platform for Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to showcase their skills, fostering economic empowerment and celebrating the diverse heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Sammakka-Sarakka Medaram Jathara, the largest tribal festival, is held biennially in Telangana, India. It attracts approximately ten million people over four days and is located 90km from Warangal city. The festival venerates the goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma and commemorates their struggle against unjust rulers.
