Because all decision are taken by CPU and only is responsible of all kind of operation to be performed.

Since CPU does all the execution of programs and control unit present in the CPU control all the tasks performed by user or operating system. Thats why it is brain of computer.

CPU, the control processing unit consists of:
1. Arithmetic logic unit (ALU).
2. Control unit.
3. Memory unit.
Hence, all the functions like carrying out arithmetic operation, executing programs, passing out control over various functions and handling protocol, etc are carried out by CPU which is further controlled by operating system, installed in the system.

The central processing unit is commonly called the CPU. There 3 components of the CPU. They are control unit, Arithmetic & logic UNIT(ALU) The storage or memory. CPU is the heart of the entire computer system. CPU is responsible for processing the input & converting it into output.

CPU consists of 3 components they are ALU, CU & MU.

It is Called the CPU because it consist of the brain of the system both arithmetic and other kinds of task are processed by the CPU.

Before, going inside go to its (CPU) meaning, it is explicitly clear that it is brain.

CPU contain hard disk, RAM, graphics card, microprocessor. All processing units are include. So CPU is brain of all computer.

Can you please give a brief description of what the ALU, CUI and MU are?

In biology, the nervous system controls the activities of the brain. That is similar with the Motherboard and the CPU. It perform, s task as storing, executing, Performs mathematical operations and equally controls the output of processed data.
