Chloroplatinate scale i.e. TCU or Hazen units: preferable 5.

As per IS 10500:
As per Cobalt scale= 10 (preferable) & 20 (permissible).
As per Haven scale= 5 (preferable) & 15 (permissible).

COBALT SCALE : 10 TO 20.
