B is the correct answer because as per clause 22.2 (a) is valid only for that S/S slab that is not built integrally with its supports.

Generally, S/S slabs are those slabs in which the beam is not cast monolithically with the slab. Hence B is the correct answer.

The Effective span of the simply supported beam or slab is Min (clear span + eff depth, clear span + width of support).
