Clear span plus one width of the slab.

It should be either,

A) Clear span + effective depth of the slab.

B) Or Clear Span + Width of the support (wall or column) whichever is less.

L efficient is min of:

1. Clear span + efficient depth of slab.

2. Clear span + 2*(half of width of column).

Clear distance between the inner faces of the walls plus HALF the thickness of the wall.

I am confused and I search with google.

1. Clear span + efficient depth of the slab.

2. Clear span + 2 * (half of width of column).

The correct answer is clear span plus effective depth of the slab.

I agree with you @Saurabh.

I too think it is Clear span plus effective depth of slab.

It should be option C.

We adopt the lesser value of the following as effective span.
1. Clear span + Effective depth.
2. Clear span + 2 (0.5 * thickness of wall).
