Ultimate strength to cement is provided by
Tricalcium silicate
Di-calcium silicate
Tri-calcium aluminate
Tetra calcium alumino ferrite.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Dicalcium Silicate (C2S): This compound will undergo reaction slowly. It is responsible for the ultimate strength of concrete. This is also called as Belite. The heat of hydration is 260 J/Cal. Its proportion is 25 - 40%.

Initial strength to cement is provided by C3S and later strength is provided by C2S.

So, ultimate strength to cement is provided by both C3S & C2S.

Raising of C2S, early strength reduces in comparison to C3S but, increases ultimate strength along with decreasing heat of hydration.

Almost after 1 year, C2S contribute the strength and durability almost equal to the C3S.

C2S imparts resistance to chemical attack.
