It is a metamorphic rock as per Geological siliceous rock. The sandstone converted to Quartzite due to metamorphism.

As per chemical siliceous rock Quartzite is siliceous rock.

Granite and quartzite are sillious rock.
Slate and laterite rock are argillaceous rock.
Marble and limestone are calcareous rock.
These are all chemical classifications of rock.

From geological classification, Quartzite is metamorphic rock and physical classification Quartzite is stratified and chemical classification Quartzite is silicious rock.

It is both metamorphic and silicious, I guess metamorphic option should not have been given since all the other options are under chemical classification.

Quartz is ignious rock but quartzalite is metamorphic rock which is converted by sandstone by metamorphism. So its silicious by chemical properties.

It is metamorphic & silicious rock.

But silicious rock is the type of metamorphic rock.

So, silicious rock is the correct answer.

Quartzite is a nonfoliated metamorphic rock composed almost entirely of quartz. It usually forms from the metamorphism of sandstone.

It is not a sillicious rock. Silicious rocks are sedimentary rocks. Quartzite is a metamorphic rock.
So, option A is correct.

Quartzite (from German Quarzit is a hard, non-foliated metamorphic rock which was originally pure quartz sandstone.

Quartzite is a non-foliated metamorphic rock that is produced by the metamorphism of sandstone.
