I don't think we should consider any wasted brick, we are asked at normal condition how many bricks will fill 1 m3 space. That is all. Hence 500 is the answer.

500 is the correct answer.

550 would be the answer if it was asked how many bricks could be stored in one cubic metre.

As it is asked in masonary, mortar will also consume the space so correct answer is 500 only.

The correct answer is 550.

Because in question it is asked a number of bricks required.

550 with wastage is correct.

@All.

500 Nos of Bricks is the correct answer and in my observations, it also includes the 5% wastage as well.

So 1 cubic meter Quantity of Wall Contains 500 Nos Of Bricks.

500 is the right answer.

Because of the standard condition.

Size of actual brick dimensions of 190 mm * 90 mm * 90 mm.
The volume of 1 brick with mortar = 198 * 198 * 98 ( 8 mm mortar thickness on all sides)
= 0.198 m * 0.098 m * 0.098 m.

The volume of a brick with mortar = 0.0019 Cum (m3)
Therefore, the number of bricks required for 1 Cum (m3) = 1/0.002 = 526 Nos.
So, 500 is the correct answer if we ignore mortar.

As we know that;

1) 1 m3=35.32cft.
2) 1 cft=13.5 brick.
3) 35.32×13.5= 476 bricks.
4) 5 % wastage of 476 bricks.
5) 476×.05= 23.8 bricks.
6) 476+23.8 =499.8

So 500 is the correct answer.
