Actually soffit and intrados are same but it should be given both A and B in answers. Because soffit and intrados give same meaning i.e. (Inner curve are surface of arch).

Soffit is found on under surface of beam.

A soffit is an exterior or interior architectural feature, generally the horizontal underside of any construction element.

And
Intrados is the lower or inner curve of an arch.

So I guess the given answer may be right.

Kashif Khan said:   5 years ago
Intrados is the curve which bounds the lower edge of the arch, and soffit is actually the surface at this curve, so soffit is the right answer.

The undersurface of an arch is called the soffit or intrados; the outer curve is the extrados.
