(1) Colour Comparator is used for visual determination of the colour of oils and petroleum waxes.

(2) The Cleveland open-cup method is one of three main methods in chemistry for determining the flash point of a petroleum product. so it is wrong.

(3) Chromometer determines the Saybolt Colour of highly refined petroleum products such as undyed motor and aviation gasoline, jet propulsion fuels, naphthas, kerosene and petroleum waxes.

So, the answer should be A & B.

Hi, I have worked in laboratory for 3 years. I usually test colour of kerosene and some solvents by ASTM D156 (saybolt chromometer), and test colour of diesel oil by ASTM D1500 (colour comparator).

Is it right or wrong if I choose B for this question? Please advice me! Thanks.
