Pitot tubes can be used to measure fluid flow velocity by measuring static and dynamic pressure difference.

Pitot tube is a device used to measure the local or point velocity by measuring the difference between impact (dynamic) pressure and static pressure.

The pitot static tube does not measure the **static pressure** directly.
It measures total pressure and can be used to calculate the dynamic pressure, but it does not provide a direct measurement of static pressure by itself.
