7
Cannot be determined
None of these
Answer: Option
Explanation:

1 woman's 1 day's work = 1
70

1 child's 1 day's work = 1
140

(5 women + 10 children)'s day's work = 5 + 10 = 1 + 1 = 1
70 140 14 14 7

5 women and 10 children will complete the work in 7 days.

10 W =7 .. 5 W =14
10 C =7 .. 10C =14

1 day work of 5W+10C=1/14+1/14
1/14+1/14=1/7

Hence 7 days.

10 W = 70 W.
10 Child 140 W.
1W =2 Child.
=> 5W+10 C= 5+5 Women = 7 days.

How can we write 5 women's and 10 children's 1 day work is 5/70 and 10/140?

If ratio is 1:2 then (women * women working days/children)

i.e 10*7/10=7

W*d=c*d.
10*7W=10*14C.
W/c=2/1.
Now 10W*7=(5W+10C)*D,
140=20D,
D=7 days.

One more way to do this prob.

5* (1/70) +10* (1/140) =2/14=1/7=7 days.
