A : B = 60 : 45.

A : C = 60 : 40.

B = B x A = 45 x 60 = 45 = 90 = 90 : 80.

Solved it as 45/60*60/40 which gives the result of 45/40 i.e., in the form of ratio it is 45:40 means for 45 points he give 40 points. But here they asked for 90 points. So it got doubled i.e., 90/80 or 90:80.

So we got the difference as 10 points which is our required answer.

Arey! The total points is 60 and from that he gives him 15. So 60-15 = 45
